Kuwait’s Ministry of Health said on Friday that 5,407 people tested positive for the coronavirus and two persons died of the pandemic in the past 24 hours. Today’s figures increased the total infections to 570,142 and deaths to 2,505, the Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told KUNA. As many as 5,846 people recovered from the disease in the corresponding period, taking the total recoveries to 513,020, he made clear. Some 84 patients are being hospitalized at ICUs, while there are 54,617 others receiving treatment, in addition to 481 at the Covid-19 wards, he said. The number of medical swabs conducted over the past 24 hours hit 33,807, raising the total tests to 7,052,139, he pointed out.
