The electrical load index continued its rise for the second day, recording the highest electric load in the history of Kuwait at 1:00 pm reaching 16,735 megawatts.
Sources in the ministry attributed the record-breaking loads to the high temperature, which ranged from 49 to 50 degrees Celsius, reports Al-Rai daily.
The sources said, “Despite record-breaking loads, the ministry still has a reserve of 875 megawatts.
It is noteworthy that sources previously told Al-Rai that electrical loads would be recorded on Tuesday and Wednesday, the highest record load in the history of Kuwait.
