Kuwait recorded a noticeable increase in the number of corona virus infections within a week, with the number of cases in intensive care stabilizing, with one death recorded.
Statistics issued by the Ministry of Health shows it has detected 2,962 virus cases during the past week starting from December 25, 2021 until January 1, 2022; in addition to one death from virus complications from on December 25, reports Al-Jarida daily.
While the “Covid 19” wards in Kuwait hospitals have recorded a rise in cases to 23, the intensive care rooms witnessed a relative stability recording only 4 patients.
The current wave of infections coincides with “omicron” that hit the world, especially Europe, while Kuwait detected the first positive case of “omicron” mutant Dec 8, 2021.
