Kuwait plans to open two more vaccination centers

With the arrival of 200,000 doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine from India, Kuwait is planning to open two mini-vaccination centers in the north and south of the country, Al Qabas reported quoting sources.

The Ministry of Health will begin vaccinating the target groups within a short period, while gradually accelerating the rate of vaccinations to reach the required community immunity.

Health officials confirmed that the shipment from India arrived at Kuwait Airport from Dubai, via Emirates Airlines flight No. 773, at 12.55 am Monday. A fraction of the dosses of the vaccine was transferred to the Kuwait Vaccination Center at the fairground directly, while the other part was transferred to the medical warehouse management of the ministry.

Sources told the daily that the current target groups are the elderly, people with chronic diseases, and those with needs.
