Kuwait on Wednesday labeled as “terrorists” two individuals and four other groups amid its efforts to stamp out terrorism, as outlined by a UN body fighting the scourge, a foreign ministry source said.
The measures were carried out with Kuwaitآ’s international partners, including the United States and its Gulf neighbors, the source added, ascribing the efforts to Kuwaitآ’s commitment to “stem terrorism funding.”
UN Security Council 1373 requires member states to take concrete steps to curb terrorism, including within their borders and across regions.
