In a significant development at the Kuwait Oil and National Petroleum Company, the Central Agency for Public Tenders has given the green light to a series of contract extensions, change orders, and tender awards worth approximately 152.3 million dinars. This marks one of the most substantial contract awards in months, reported Alanba Daily.

- The National Petroleum Company has been authorized to award a tender for electrical maintenance services and gas liquids operating areas in the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery to a local firm, amounting to 28.78 million dinars.
- Another tender has been approved for the maintenance of equipment and control systems within the company’s operational areas in the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, with a value of 43.33 million dinars over a 63-month period.
- A second extension for a contract involving the cleaning, repairing, and painting of tanks, cisterns, and liquefied gas production facilities at the Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery has been granted for six months, with an added contract value of 1.47 million dinars.
- The fifth extension of a tender contract for the repair and maintenance of control valves, including the supply of necessary spare parts in the three refineries, has been approved for six months at a cost of up to 900 thousand dinars.
- The Board of Directors has granted approval for the issuance of the fourth change order, involving an increase of 3.08 million dinars, for the maintenance of control devices and systems within the operating areas of Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery.
- Additionally, the Central Agency for Public Tenders’ Board of Directors has sanctioned a tender for the operation and maintenance of chemical storage and handling facilities, operational laboratories, and surplus water disposal stations in the regions of southern and eastern Kuwait. This contract is valued at 19.6 million dinars.
- Another significant award involves comprehensive maintenance support for gas facilities in northern and western Kuwait, amounting to 45.37 million dinars.
- Finally, the agency has approved the third extension of a contract for the provision of maintenance services for production facilities in the northern regions of Kuwait for a six-month duration on a month-to-month basis, totaling about 9.2 million dinars. Furthermore, the first change order has been authorized, increasing the reserve amount allocated to Kuwaitiization by 563.17 thousand dinars.
