MOE to implement AI system to enhance education quality

Kuwait’s Ministry of Education is set to implement an artificial intelligence (AI) system aimed at improving the quality of education. The move is part of the country’s efforts to modernize its education system and keep pace with the latest technological advancements.

According to a statement by the ministry, the AI system will provide a range of services to students, teachers, and administrators, including personalized learning experiences, automated grading and evaluation, and predictive analytics to identify at-risk students.

The system will also help with curriculum development by analyzing student performance data and identifying areas where improvements can be made. In addition, it will provide recommendations for teaching methods and resources based on student needs and learning styles, reported Al-Rai daily.

The AI system is expected to be implemented in phases over the next few years, starting with a pilot program in select schools. The ministry said that it is working with leading AI companies to develop and customize the system to meet the specific needs of Kuwait’s education system.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Saud Al-Harbi, the undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, said that the AI system represents a “paradigm shift” in the way that education is delivered and evaluated in Kuwait. He added that the system will help to ensure that Kuwait’s students are prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.
