Ministry of Health (MoH) on Tuesday listed 811 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases bringing the total coronavirus infections to 166,654 since the start of the pandemic locally months ago. MoH official spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to KUNA, a single fatality due to infection was registered during the same period raising the death toll to 960.
Dr. Al-Sanad has added the number of people who are receiving treatment at intensive care units has amounted to 59, thus the whole count of the confirmed infection cases receiving medical care stands at 6,708.
He pointed out that 9,140 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of such examinations to 1.547,402. The proportion of the infections as compared to the number of swab tests, during the last 24 hours, stood at 8.9 percent. He appealed to the people of Kuwait to remain vigilant against the virus, maintain social distancing and avoid crowds.
