Kuwait Kannada Koota celebrated its first event of 2023, titled ‘Dasothsava’ on February 17 amid great spiritual and cultural vigor. The Public Relations Committee led by the convener Smt. Sumitra Krishnamurthy Gowda constructed a lovely welcome stage. The program commenced with the ceremonious lighting of the lamp by select committee members, which was followed by a beautiful prayer.

Post an introduction by the President Mr. Ramachandran Sitharaman, a series of children’s activities took place, including singing contests for devotional songs and characters from Mahabharata and Ramayana epics.

Concurrently, the executive committee from the previous year was felicitated for their invaluable contribution to the organization during their term. By their convention of congratulating students who exhibited academic prowess, the organization gifted each student a plaque. The Marala Mallige committee coordinated the publication of the ‘Bhakti Karanji’ issue, which included members’ original essays, poems, and action paintings. Afterward, several teams displayed their musical abilities in a bhajan competition. Mahima Manikantha, a magnificent narrative show was put on by a few members of the cultural committee, proving to be a great success.

Lastly, the much anticipated Puttur Narasimha Nayak’s devotional singing grabbed the spotlight. The event was sponsored by a few companies, namely, Total Environment Homes, Square Yards, and Bajaj Alliance.
