The Board of Trustees of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research convened its second regular meeting of 2023 today, Wednesday, under the leadership of Dr. Adel Al-Manea, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The session, attended by Acting Director General Dr. Mana Al-Sudairawi and esteemed board members, was marked by significant discussions and decisions, reported Al-Rai Daily.
Among the key topics deliberated was the report of the Administrative and Financial Committee for the year 2023, dated August 20, 2023. During this session, the institute’s budget for the fiscal year 2024/2025 received approval, as did the fuel services policy.
Furthermore, the board reviewed the report of the Policies and Programs Committee for 2023/1, dated July 31, 2023, and granted its approval for the annual report of 2022/2023. Notably, the board also gave the green light to proposed development plan projects, encompassing the assessment and development of modern technologies aimed at reducing Kuwait’s carbon footprint under local environmental conditions. Additionally, plans for the establishment of a state-of-the-art laboratory for refrigeration and air conditioning systems were endorsed.
