Kuwait Gov't wants young citizens take part in running stateaffairs - Official

The Government of Kuwait’s special care for the youth ultimately aims atenabling them to bear serious responsibilities and take part in running State affairs, said a visiting seniorofficial.

Kuwait Ministry of State for Youth Affairs acts diligently to provide integrated, qualitative and divergentservices for the young generation; partly through adopting creativity campaigns for the youngsters, saidMohammad Rashed Al-Bos, representative of the ministry, in a statement during a festival marking launchof the workshop, “we talk about our countries,” organized by the Arab Youth Council for IntegratedDevelopment, under the Arab League’s aegis.

“Our doors are always open for the young citizens and the youth ministry is actually their house wherethey should play a role in expanding it,” Al-Bos said, affirming readiness to allow juniors take part indecision making and administrative affairs within the department.

The ministry has recently conducted a nationwide poll surveying the youngsters’ views on key issues suchas housing, employment, teaching and citizenship. “We will conduct very soon studies and polls toexamine share of youth aged under 34 from the State budget; as well as their spending and investmentforms,” he said.

The department has so far adopted more than 400 initiatives and projects; more than 30 of which havebeen transformed into establishments and companies where young citizens have been employed, hedisclosed.

He expressed satisfaction at the youth care accomplishments, in line with guidelines of His Highness theAmir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for backing up the young citizens and encouraging thosewith creative talents. – KUNA
