Hackers are using telephone operator number of Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs (22225555) to deceive citizens, the department warned in a press release on Tuesday. These swindlers have been calling individuals with claims that they represent the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and request funds to be transferred to fake and suspicious accounts of universities where they have been previously registered. Some of the hackers ask for remittances for accrediting scholastic certificates.
The ministry has requested people to be cautious of such acts of fraudulence, warning against dealing with any anonymous persons or phone numbers. These hackers use phone numbers of peoples and departments for deception and swindling.
