Kuwait consulate in Mumbai releases circular advising passengers travelling to Kuwait

The Consulate General for the State of Kuwait in Mumbai released a circular informing that all passengers travelling to Kuwait are required to conduct a PCR TEST for COVID -19 (coronavirus) with the authorized medical centers mentioned here that have received approval from the Gulf Health Council in their respective cities with effect on 8 March, 2020.

The medical centers will conduct an examination on the patient and issue a PCR certificate confirming that they are not inflicted with the coronavirus (COVID-19). The certificate is mandatory to enter Kuwait, failing which the passenger will be stopped at the airport and deported.

The Kuwait government has also banned people from entering Kuwait from Coronovirus affected countries such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Italy, Iran and Iraq.

Kuwait is taking a slew of measures to prevent the Coronoavirus from spreading with already 56 infected persons in the country and thousands in quarantine.
