The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, announced that an extraordinary session of the Council of the League of Arab States will be held today (Monday) at the level of permanent delegates, headed by the Kuwaiti Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab World Affairs Nasser Al-Qahtani, at the request of Egypt, to discuss the current situation in Ukraine.
Zaki said in a statement to Al-Rai, Sunday: “It was agreed to hold this extraordinary session of the Arab League Council at the invitation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to discuss the current developments in Ukraine, and the Egyptian request was supported by Kuwait, Jordan and a number of Arab countries, and accordingly it was agreed upon.
