Kuwait army is considering enrolling women in its ranks

The Assistant Chief of Staff of the Manpower Authority, Major General Dr. Khaled Al-Kandari, revealed a study by the army to enlist the female component to work in its ranks, Al-Rai daily reported.

Major General Al-Kandari told reporters, on the sidelines of the Ministry of Defense’s awareness campaign ‘Be Among them’, to motivate Kuwaiti youth to enroll in the military service, He said,  “We look forward to witnessing a large turnout of young people to join the military, and we aim that the campaign will attract Kuwaiti youth to volunteer in the military service, to defend the homeland”.

The Director of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Naval Staff Mohammed Abel Al-Awadi, said that the campaign aims to communicate directly between the youth and the Kuwaiti army, inform them of the tasks and duties assigned to the army, and encourage them to join the military corps.
