The Kuwait Society of Engineers, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, continues to screen engineering certificates referred to it to ensure their validity and conformity with work requirements in the country.
According to a report, a copy of which has been obtained by a local Arabic daily, during the past six months, 4,320 engineering certificates submitted by expatriates of different nationalities were verified through the automated system, out of 5,248 certificates.
The report said 7 forged certificates were seized and four of them belonged to the Indian nationality and the others were Venezuelan, Jordanian and Egyptian.
He pointed out that 74 certificates have not yet been verified, while 928 engineering certificates are currently being verified.
