KPC measures to rationalize spending

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has issued a set of measures to legalize and rationalize spending for the current fiscal 2022/2021 by no less than 10% per cent.

The Al-Anba daily quoting said Al-Zaabi in the circular stated that participation in all local and foreign exhibitions and conferences will be reduced by 50% of the approved budget for the current fiscal year, and participation in external and local training will be reduced, except for work requirements.

The sources indicated KPC official missions, studies, research and consultations; non-essential raw materials contracts which include (cleanliness, protection and security, data entry and printing, hospitality and gifts, advertising, etc) will be reduced by 50% from approved budget.

However, Al-Zaabi called for prioritizing construction projects and contracts, postponing unnecessary ones, and raising the efficiency of collecting outstanding debts.

In the circular, the KPC stated disbursement of money for health clubs and related services and social and cultural activities, which include, for example, (umrah trips, parties of all kinds, recreational and cultural trips, chalets, and others) will be suspended during fiscal 2022/2021.
