Joint operation thwarts smuggling of million Captagon pills

The Criminal Security Sector and the General Administration of Customs in Kuwait foiled a smuggling attempt of about a million Captagon pills. According to Al Jarida, three Arab nationals were arrested for trying to bring the pills into the country through the Shuwaikh port hidden in a container of cement materials. The suspects were referred to competent authorities along with the confiscated items.

The Ministry of Interior issued a press statement on Thursday that as a follow-up of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid to intensify security and efforts to repel all operations of promoting narcotic substances, the joint cooperation between drug control officers in Kuwait and Qatar resulted in the success of the security operation.
