Kamel Abdul Jalil, Secretary General, National Council of Cultural, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), and Indian Ambassador H.E. Sibi George addressed a joint press-conference today (13 October 2021) on the launch of an year-long joint celebrations to mark the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and the State of Kuwait.

NCCAL and Embassy of India will jointly organize a series of events covering the entire spectrum of culture, art and letters. It includes music activity days, cultural weeks covering Indian movies, culture performances, seminar on historic relations between two countries, seminar on wellness tourism opportunities, joint musical evenings, joint activities on antiquities and maritime trade routes, textile exhibition, pottery exhibition, symposium on the connect between Indian and Kuwaiti cuisines, currency and jewelry

In his address, Kamel Abdul Jalil, Secretary General, NCCAL highlighted the excellent bilateral relations between India and Kuwait, especially the age-old people to people connect, civilizational affinities, mutual desire and keen interest to further strengthen this already close relationship in the cultural He expressed keen desire in increasing cultural exchanges between the two countries. Commenting specifically on the occasion, he said that the launch of this year long celebrations are to mark an important milestone in the shared history of the bilateral relations of our two countries.
