The Iraqi side at the Safwan crossing has informed the Kuwaiti side that it has extended the deadline for citizens of Gulf nationals and residents wishing to visit Iraq without restrictions, conditions and without a visa.
Informed security sources told Al-Rai daily the circular, which was issued by the Iraqi authorities to the Kuwaiti side, stipulates the extension of the grace period for everyone entering through the Abdali and Safwan crossings would be until next Friday.
The sources indicated that there is a mechanism and coordination on the Iraqi side to finalize a specific mechanism for granting a visa at a symbolic price to be granted to those who wish to visit Iraq through the Safwan border crossing.
