Indian Naval ships to visit Kuwait

Three Indian Naval ships INS TIR, INS SUJATA along with Indian Coast guard Ship SARATHI will be visiting Kuwait from Tuesday as part of the deep-rooted, multifaceted friendly ties and growing cooperation between India and Kuwait.

The naval ships will dock at Shuwaikh port on from Oct 4 to 6. All Indian nationals will have the opportunity to visit the ships on these three days.

On Tuesday, 4th, the Naval ships will be open to public from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. While on Wednesday 5th, they will be open from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and on Thursday, they will be open from 1 pm to 5 pm. All Indian nationals with valid civil id must submit their request at the link https://forms.gle/c9KMxtevQSunEghx8 by selecting the date and time. Civil ID will be mandatory for visiting the ship.

INS Sujata, an indigenously built Offshore Patrol Vessel class of ship. The ship is designed to undertake fleet support operations, coastal and offshore patrolling, ocean surveillance, monitoring of Sea Lines of Communication and offshore assets and escort duties.

INS Tir is the first dedicated cadet’s training ship to be built by Mazagon Dock Limited and commissioned as such by the Indian Navy She is .the senior ship of the 1st Training Squadron of the Southern Naval Command.

Indian Coast Guard Ship ‘Sarathi’, thas been designed and built indigenously by GSL and is fitted with most advanced state-of-the-art navigation and communication equipment, sensors and machineries. The features include 30 mm CRN 91 Naval Gun, Integrated Bridge System (IBS), Integrated Machinery Control System (IMCS), Power Management System (PMS) and High Power External Fire Fighting System.  The ship is designed to carry one twin engine Light Helicopter and five high speed boats including two Quick React ..
