Indian expat stabs Asian woman nine times in Rumaithiya area

An Indian expatriate in his 40s, murdered an Asian in her 30s by stabbing her several times in the Al Rumaithiya area, Al Jarida reported. The man was renting a room at the woman’s house.

The daily reported a security source said that the Ministry of Interior’s operations room received a report this afternoon stating a murder was committed in a house in Al-Rumaithiya area, specifically in plot No. 9. The Hawalli governorate security men, investigators and forensic doctor, and the attorney general rushed to the site.

The source added that, upon their arrival, the security men saw the corpse of an Asian expatriate in one of the rooms with several stab wounds and caught the killer, an Indian arriving, sitting next to the body. He surrendered himself to the security men and confessed to killing the victim after a disagreement.

The source stated that the preliminary investigations with the murderer admitting he was single and shared a room with the family of the victim. A dispute occurred between them as the victim failed to provide him food though he had paid her. The alleged killer admitted this dispute descended into a furious quarrel which escalated into murder where the victim was stabbed nine times.

The alleged perpetrator was arrested, and evidence gathered including the murder weapon while the body was removed and referred to the Forensic Medicine Department, indicating that the initial examination of the victim’s body by the forensic doctor showed that she had 9 severe stab wounds that caused her death.
