India congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National day and Liberation day 2023

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of India and on my own behalf, I convey my warm greetings and felicitations to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Amir and Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Government and the friendly people of Kuwait, on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the National Day of Kuwait and 32nd anniversary of its Liberation.

India and Kuwait share historical and close relations. The leadership of both countries attach immense importance to bilateral relations between India and Kuwait. While India is crucial for Kuwait’s food security, Kuwait is an important factor in ensuring India’s energy security. People-to-people contacts remain the fulcrum of this relationship. The vibrant Indian community, which constitutes the largest expatriate community in Kuwait, is a ‘living bridge’ between the two countries.

India, with all the advantages and attractiveness of its current growth story, could be a reliable partner in the realization of the 2035 development vision of Kuwait. I am confident that the close, historical and deep ties of friendship will continue to grow and diversify under the guidance of the leadership of our two friendly countries.

I take this opportunity to convey my gratitude to the leadership of the State of Kuwait for their continued patronage and support for the welfare of the Indian community in Kuwait. I wish good health, success and continued prosperity to the leadership and the friendly people of Kuwait on this joyous occasion.

H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika
