Indian authorities said on Sunday that one day deaths due to COVID-19 were 306 while new positive cases climbed to 15,413.
The Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said in its latest update that death toll due to COVID-19 pandemic in the country so far stood at 13,254 while total COVID-19 cases in the country since the outbreak are 410,461.
According to the ministry data 227756 people have recovered so far. Indian government had announced its decision to extend the lockdown in containment zones while giving key relaxations in the less affected areas.
However, many state governments are unwilling to extend the lockdown as it has already made the normal life and economic activities in jeopardy.
