IMA organizes webinar on “Harmonious and Inclusive Society, The Spirit of Indian constitution”

The Outreach Department of Indian Muslim Association (IMA), Kuwait is one of the important departments of this association which carries out awareness on various aspects of humanity for Indian expatriates specifically and in general to all. It has conducted a Zoom Webinar on ‘Harmonious and Inclusive Society: The Spirit of Indian Constitution’ on January 29, 2021, to commemorate 72nd Indian Republic Day. 

Dr. Vinod Grover, Consultant Surgeon at Jahra Hospital, Kuwait was the Chief guest of the program and other dignitaries from various fields of Indian society in Kuwait like Thomas Panicker, Advocate by profession & President of Indian Lawyers Forum-Kuwait, Venkata Siva Rao, President United Telugu Forum, Suresh K.P., Prominent Indian community Leader-Kuwait and Steven Rego, Kuwait Canara Welfare Association also participated in the program.

Dr. Vinod Grover said that topic is close to my heart and the Indian constitution ensures; Justice, Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, and Unity. He also emphasized young generation shall be made aware of our constitution; the constitution provides security to minorities and propagates gender equality for an inclusive society.

All the dignitaries express their views on the above program and highlighted the advocacy of the Indian constitution which is an Egalitarian society based on Justice, Equality, Liberty, and Secularism. They also reminded us to teach our children about the unity and diversity of India, how & when the constitution was framed and made effective. The provisions of the Indian constitution strive that laws should be made upon winning the confidence of Indian People, the constitution is for practice to achieve peaceful life, India is like a honeycomb which is led by one person and all states work together for the progress of Nation and its unity.

Sharfuddin B.Soofi the keynote speaker is from Mangalore; he is a Management Faculty for MBA in marketing and motivational speaker, Khateeb, author and orator.

The key highlight of the program was that the spirit of the Indian Constitution is to impart a harmonious & inclusive society, which is one of the most important qualities for a peaceful and progressive society. He underlined that it is everybody’s responsibility for taking care of the Nation and to correct people who go against our constitution. 

He explained, in brief, the advocacies & the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, the significance of artwork in the constitution, Social Equality and development through practical steps based on the constitution, religious freedom contributes to sustainable development, and a few threats against the constitutional spirit and a few remedies for the same.
