IMA Kuwait conducts an Interfaith Program

IMA Kuwait organized an interfaith program at Rajdhani Palace Khaitan on Oct 21st in continuation to the Seerah Campaign.

Dr Hassan Taha addressed the program by outlining a few aspects from the prophet’s life. He gave beautiful examples from the Life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) describing him as a Mercy to the worlds and entire mankind.

He further narrated an incident of a brief encounter between Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and an old woman, she expressed her displeasure about a magician teaching a new religion. She spoke to the prophet and upon the revelation that he was the magician she spoke about, she was surprised, realizing that the rumors held no truth and accepted Islam.

Dr Hassan Taha narrated many incidents and preaching’s in his speech, later concludeding his speech by praising Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for his Kindness, love, and righteousness.

Dr Mohan Ram, President of UPNRI Forum, was an honorable guest speaker in the program, He thanked the Indian Muslims Association for inviting him and appreciated their activities, and he stated that such activities enhance communal harmony.

Dr. Imtiaz Nawaz, Secretary IDF, spoke with a message of peace and justice by quoting a Quranic verse. Further, he read out messages from the Life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and thanked the IMA for inviting him on this auspicious occasion.

Mr Christopher Taylor, Chapel to US army in Kuwait, the Guest of Honor to this program, highlighted the similarities between Islam and Christianity. Mr. K. Ghangadar, the honorable Principal of ICSK Khaitan appreciated the organizers for organizing this event.

Many other dignitaries from various organizations attended and supported the event. Among the dignitaries were Mr. Khaled Al Sabah (Director of IPC), Mr Abdullah Al Hudaib a representative from Social Reform Society Kuwait, Mr. Mohammed Ali and Mr Ibrahim Fargalli, representatives of the ministry of Awqaaf and Islamic Affairs Kuwait, and H.E Mrs Halima A. Mohamud, the Ambassador in Embassy of the Republic of Kenya.

Indian Muslims Association (IMA) organized this “Interfaith gathering” to eliminate the misunderstandings about Islam and The Prophet Muhammad PBUH. This program was attended by 100-110 people of different faiths.

The program started with the recitation of Quranic verses and was concluded by a quiz competition based on the contents delivered by the speakers in their speeches.

Mr. Sharfuddin Soofi, Vice president IMA, thanked all the speakers and the dignitaries present in event. Towards the end he addressed important quotes from Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
