IES, Kuwait celebrates the victory of an Ace Badminton Player

Indian Education School, Kuwait, once again blazed a trail in the field of Sports with Neha Susan Biju of Grade 9, a promising badminton player, bringing laurels to IES by demonstrating her sportsmanship with her incredible athletic ability, agility, strength, muscular endurance, and steadfastness in the field of sports.

It takes someone extraordinary to win a badminton championship. Neha being an exceptional player won the State individual Kerela Sub- Junior District Championship ’22 held from August 10 to 13. by fiercely competing with many ace players. She was honoured with a coveted trophy and a medal by the District Badminton (Shuttle) Association to Kerala State Sports Council. To add a feather to her cap she further was adjudged the winner of Mixed Doubles under 15 in the 49th Ernakulam District Badminton Championship held from July 13th-16th by the District Badminton (Shuttle) Association to Kerala State Sports Council and Indian Olympic Association (Kerala Chapter). She also won a third place in the Girls Doubles in the 49th Ernakulam District Badminton Championship. Neha registered herself for the Nationals (All India championship) team selection held in Goa and lost in pre quarter finals after first three rounds to a better player from West Bengal. However, it takes an extraordinary player to be at the elite level and Neha’s peak is yet to be attained.

Neha’s phenomenal success was well applauded by the Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon the Principal of Indian Education School, Mr. T. Premkumar and entire physical education department.

The management, the teachers, and the student community extolled Neha Susan Biju for making the school inordinately proud and wished her all success in her future endeavours.
