ICSA launches Business Oral Communication and Public Speaking Course

The International Institute of Computer Science and Administration (ICSA) for Private Education recently launched its newest course Business Oral Communication Public Speaking Course. The first orientation class held on Friday saw a full house attendance at the ICSA premises in Kuwait City.

In an hour and half introduction to the course, Ricky Laxa, Oral Communication and Public Speaking Trainer explained the syllabus of the course.  The syllabus includes Fundamentals and Characteristics of Oral Communication, Speaker  and Listener; Action-Reaction,  Effective Communicator:  Strength and Weakness, Verbal and Non Verbal Communication, Introduction to Public Speaking, Fundamentals of Public Speaking, Format and delivery and Types of Speeches and Listening and Apprehension of messages and responses. The course duration is three months and is conducted every Friday from three in the afternoon till 6 in the evening at the ICSA premises in Kuwait City.

Laxa added that though the classes are based on syllabus, activities may vary based on the needs of the students. “This class is all about students expressing themselves eloquently to an attentive classroom with positive results at the end of the class expected. This class develops not only your fluency and clarity in your speech, but boosts your confidence to speak in every possible situations and occasions,” explained Laxa. The course also dictates unconventional formats in a classroom setting paired with extemporaneous dialogues and speeches.

Trainer, Ricky Laxa is a former professor of oral communication in three universities in the Philippines graduated with double degree in major in English and currently works for CEE Network as Project Manager; he is a Journalist at the Times News and Television News Correspondent at GMA 7 International News and Current Affairs.
