Humid weather until end of week; temperatures will recede gradually

Meteorologist Issa Ramadan expects the humid weather to continue until the end of this week, with reduced horizontal visibility in coastal areas.

Ramadan told Al-Qabas this is the beginning of the decrease in temperature which has an effect on the region because of the seasonal low-pressure belt in the Indian Ocean and the impact of the very hot northwesterly humid winds blowing in this direction.

The meteorologist indicated over the next few days humidity is expected to increase relatively which will vary in some places especially along the coastal areas which will make the weather unbearable after Suhail.

He pointed out that the summer of 2021 is one of the hottest, not only locally but also globally.

Kuwait’s observatories have recorded temperatures of more than 50 degrees Celsius for several days, which has made the region ‘a tin of burning coal’ in recent years, due to global climatic changes as well as economic and social conditions and the increase of human impact on the environment.

Ramadan added, “Our summer has been and continues to be exhaustive and tiring this year, especially due to humid conditions.”

He expects the temperatures to drop significantly in mid-September and the trend will in October.
