His Highness, the Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, has issued royal directives to establish an air bridge to send urgent aid and medical personnel on behalf of Kuwait to Turkey as a result of the earthquake that struck the Kahramanmaraş Governorate in southern Turkey, with the participation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Fire Force, the Red Crescent, the Ministry of Health and the Kuwaiti army.
The Government Communication Center stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will coordinate the activation of this air bridge, in which the Kuwaiti army will assume the responsibility of transporting cadres, machinery and equipment by air, reports Al-Rai daily.
The center said the Kuwaiti air bridge will include the participation of the General Fire Force, which takes the initiative to deal with the effects of the earthquake and contribute in the search and rescue operations for the victims.
The Ministry of Health and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society will also participate in providing the necessary medical and pharmaceutical support and urgent health care.
