‘Help Me’ please paper clip saves teen from kidnappers

An American teenager managed to save herself from the hands of her kidnappers, with a small piece of paper on which she wrote, “Help me.”

According to “Sky News”, the police said that a 13-year-old girl was kidnapped in Texas, and she was rescued in southern California when passers-by saw her inside a parked car, while she was carrying a paper asking for help, reports Al-Rai daily.

The police added, in a press statement, Thursday, that the enforcement process took place on July 9, south of Los Angeles, when passers-by saw the girl inside a car carrying a paper that read “Help me,” and they immediately informed the police.

According to the US Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles, Stephen Robert Sablan, 61, of Texas, was arrested and indicted by a federal grand jury Thursday on charges of kidnapping and transporting a minor with intent to engage in “criminal sexual activity.”

Police said the victim was near a bus stop in San Antonio, Texas, on July 6, when the suspect approached her, pointed a gun at her, and demanded she get into his car.

She added, “Investigators have concluded that the girl was sexually assaulted while being brought to California.”
