Health Requirements Committee inspects salons, health clubs

The Health Requirements Committee’s women team on Friday carried out a series of intensive campaigns on women’s beauty salons and health clubs to ensure the adherence to coronavirus-related health requirements.

Team Leader Hanan Al-Mohammad said in a press statement that the health requirements committee consists of the Public Authority for Manpower, Kuwait Fire Force’s Prevention Sector, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Interior Ministry, and Kuwait Municipality. She added that the committee has since the beginning of its work registered violations in 422 commercial establishments that did not comply with the health requirements, pointing out that the committee has intensified inspections on beauty salons and warned them to comply with the health requirements.

She pointed out the lack of commitment by customers to the social distancing within salons and sport clubs, and failure to wear masks which would be punished with legal measures. Al-Mohammad called on salons and health clubs to implement a timetable system to avoid any irregularities and to comply with health requirements to halt the spread of coronavirus (Coved 19). Regarding weddings and parties, Al-Mohammad stressed that the committee is intensifying its efforts to prevent any violations in this regard. She called on the public to register for the vaccine to counter the spread of the virus and to support government efforts by state agencies to control the epidemic, protect society and reduce infection rates.
