Health Insurance Hospitals Co completes construction of first hospital in Ahmadi

The Health Insurance Hospitals Company celebrated the completion of the construction of its hospital in Al-Ahmadi Governorate, in an important step towards achieving the company’s strategy aimed at completing its health system and providing the best medical services.

The celebration happened in the presence of the Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Ghanim Al-Ghunaiman, the Chinese ambassador and the President of the Medical Association, reports a local Arabic daily.

Speaking on the occasion, Mutlaq Mubarak Al-Sane, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, said, “The hospital is an essential element in our plan to establish an integrated health system, which includes hospitals with a capacity of approximately 660 beds, and a number of primary health care centers distributed in various governorates to serve the national strategy for health care in the country.”

Al-Sanea considered that the event is not specific to the company, but rather an important contribution and addition to the health sector, in the context of Daman’s vision for its role in raising the indicators of the health sector and leadership in the development of this vital sector in Kuwait.

He explained that Daman seeks to find a solid health base that establishes sustainable health development, keeping pace with Kuwait’s interest in developing the medical system, transferring technology and providing the best medical devices, pharmaceutical industries and vaccines, to improve health services provided to citizens and residents.

He pointed out that the hospital will be operated in cooperation with an international operator experienced in managing a health system of this size, which is the Spanish company Ribera Salud, an expert in providing health care for more than 30 years in Spain and a number of other countries.

Ghanim Al-Ghunaiman said that the health insurance hospitals project is one of the projects of the development plan, and perhaps it is unique in that it is directed towards improving the level of services of the health care sector, which is considered one of the most important sectors of the national economy, and very large financial resources are directed to it annually from the general budget. to the state.

The CEO of Daman hospitals Thamer Arab said in a press conference after the ceremony, “We have devoted all our efforts with dedication and sincerity in the project of building Daman hospitals, to reach the current stage, which is the completion of the building, announcing our readiness for the next step, which we hope will accelerate efforts with the Ministry of Health to extract The necessary licenses, especially those related to medical personnel, in order to complete the health system and start providing primary and secondary health care services according to the HMO system.

— Has five floors and a basement with a capacity of 330 beds

— It contains 14 operating rooms, 21 intensive care units, and 75 outpatient clinics that include all major specialties

— The pharmacy operates on an automated system

— It includes X-rays facilities, laboratories and emergency departments

— Boasts of a helipad

— The design meets all smart building standards

— Has an advanced recycling system for medical waste

— Environmentally friendly in every detail

— Attached to the building is a multi-storey car park for about 550 cars.
