Health evaluation of grade 10 students

In a bid to reduce the incidence of lifestyle-related health problems in future generations, the Ministry of Health in association with public and private schools in the country has conducted a health survey to determine the rate of health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes and blood fats, and evaluate overall health among grade 10 students in the country.

The ministry distributed questionnaires to the schools where grade 10 students responded to several questions, including their medical history and lifestyle. The students were asked whether they use tobacco products and, if so, the number of cigarettes they smoke per day; their eating habits in the past seven days, types of fast-foods they eat, their intake of salty food; time they spend in physical activity at least 60 minutes a day, lethargy and laziness (inactivity); and number of hours spent using television, mobile phones, electronic games and chat sites through social media platforms.
