The Ministry of Health in the strongest terms has condemned the attack on a doctor working at the maternity hospital.
The ministry said the doctor’s family has been contacted and that he was rushed to the emergency surgical room of the hospital following the brutal attack on the doctor, which led to bleeding in different parts of the body, and the legal committee of the association has appointed a lawyer to proceed with the legal procedures against the assailant.
The Ministry confirmed that the Law of the Practice of Medical Professions protects the rights of medical personnel regarding these unacceptable behavior, and that the Ministry is following up the investigation into that incident with the competent authorities in the country, to preserve the full rights of the doctor contained in Law No. 70 of 2020, and to preserve and protect all the rights of medical personnel In response to these unacceptable and reprehensible behavior, wishing the doctor a speedy recovery.
The Kuwait Medical Association has also condemned the attack on a doctor saying such practices cannot be tolerated.
