Hawalli Municipality tears down sheep and poultry sheds in Rumaithiya

The Violations Removal Department in the Hawalli Governorate Municipality branch removed an existing encroachment on 40 square meters of state property in the Rumaithiya which consisted of poultry and sheep sheds containing 25 goats, chickens and ducks.

The head of the department Eng. Ayed Al-Qahtani, told Al-Rai that the removal was based on a complaint filed by by the neighbors, pointing out that “the municipality had sent earlier sent warnings to the violator, but to no avail, and accordingly the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fisheries Resources (PAAAFR) accompanied by the Municipality inspectors dealt with the issue forcing the violator to move the animals and poultry before the sheds were torn down.

The municipality said it has nothing to do with breeding animals and poultry but will not tolerate encroachments on government land and related violations.

The Municipality stressed that “any light facility that violates the law and the regulations, and established on state property in private and model housing areas, will be removed, and there will be follow-up and subsequent detection of any removal that took place to ensure that the violator adheres to the law, and that the violation is not repeated.”
