Official data revealed that Kuwait has produced 75 types and 202,000 tons of agricultural products, such as vegetables, fruits, and leafy vegetables, in 2022. While the total value of those products amounted to more than 28 million dinars, tomatoes and cucumbers accounted to half of Kuwait’s agricultural production.
Tomatoes topped the list of the highest-produced agricultural product in Kuwait during 2022, with about 59,000 tons at a total value of 8.5 million dinars, followed by cucumbers, with about 45,000 tons, at a total value of 5.4 million dinars.
Eggplants came third with a production volume of 16,500 tons, at a value of more than 2.6 million dinars, while potatoes came fourth with about 15,000 tons which was at a total value of 1.78 million tons. Lettuce came fifth with a production volume of 12,600 thousand tons, at a total value of 1.2 million dinars.
