His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a phone call this evening from President Joseph Biden of the friendly United States of America, during which they discussed the strong and distinguished bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the United States of America, praising these historical relations and the common aspirations that strengthen, upgrade and emphasize the firm support of the United States for the security and stability of the State of Kuwait and to always stands by it.
Biden also thanked Kuwait for its humanitarian role in facilitating the safe passage and the success of the American evacuation plan from Afghanistan, wishing His Highness good health and wellness and for the State of Kuwait further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness.
The Amir expressed his sincere thanks for the good feelings the US President showed towards the State of Kuwait, and praised the robust relations between the two friendly countries.
The Al-Anba daily said His Highness also congratulated Biden on the success of the evacuation process despite the difficulties that surrounded it.
The Amir also expressed his sincere condolences for the fallen US soldiers — victims of the terrorist bombing in the vicinity of Kabul Airport and for the victims of Hurricane Ida that hit the state of Louisiana.
His Highness also extended an official invitation to Biden to visit Kuwait.
