The 13th Gulf Water Conference is scheduled in Kuwait next month, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) said in a press release on Saturday. The convention, themed ‘Water in GCC States .. Challenges and Innovative Solutions’, will be held between 12 and 14 March, said Dr. Mohammad Al-Rashed, executive manager of the water research center at KISR and head of the event organizing committee, as cited by the press release.
Conferees are scheduled to focus discussions and lectures on innovative solutions to face “enormous challenges,” amid mounting demand for water in the GCC countries, he said. They will address a host of other issues, namely management of underground reserves, water desalination and treatment of sewage water.
