Gov’t gives a nod to the development of Shuwaikh Beach

The Capital Governorate Committee in the Municipal Council invited the Director of the Public Authority for Industry to attend the next committee meeting on the agenda of requesting the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to find an alternative location for the East Industrial plots.

The committee approved during its Monday meeting the request of the Environment Public Authority to allocate the site of the former Shuwaikh police station building in the third Shuwaikh area within Plot C as a control center for it. Also discussed was the request for approval of the Kuwait Municipality of the Projects Sector to allocate restaurants and cafes without shisha in the Qurain Markets area, and requesting the Islamic Ministry of Endowments to allocate a site for the construction of a prayer hall and parking lots in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area next to Shahrazad Roundabout, and the Shuwaikh Beach Development Project opposite the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center.

Moreover, included in the agenda is the initiative to beautify Kuwait City, while not agreeing with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs’ request to remove parking lots and allocate a family residence site for the imam and the muezzin of the Khalil Al-Saleh Mosque in the Doha residential area, block 1, while referring to the executive body a request for the extension of Bassem Street Thunayan Al-Ghanim.
