Government schools resume cultural activities at all levels 

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ali Al-Yaqoub, announced the resumption of cultural activities in schools in at various educational stages, including religious and private education, and special education schools during the current scholastic year 2021/2022.

Undersecretary Al-Yaqoub is said to have issued a decision, a copy of which has been obtained by the Al-Anba daily, which says the “school activities play a prominent role in students’ learning, developing their skills and discovering their various abilities, in addition to affecting their personality and their future lives.”

The decision says, “With reference to the Ministry of Education circular No. 11/2020 issued on Oct 13, 2020 regarding the suspension of all sports activities, events, lectures, seminars and visits during the 2020/2021 school year, and in view of the resumption of studies in the Ministry of Education schools, in order to activate the role of school activities and in order to adhere to preventive measures to preserve the safety of the students, please work to activate the mechanism to conduct school activities, by resuming cultural and literary competitions and awareness-raising meetings in schools for the 2021/2022 school year.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Education confirmed that it will continue to receive visitors wishing to meet the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Ali Al-Yaqoub, providing an appointment is taken on the ‘Meta’ platform in the morning from 6 to 7:30 am at the new Ministry of Education building, South Surra.
