The government is preparing to give booster dose to people who deserve it and will start sending messages at the end of September 2021, particularly to the elderly, those who have undergone organ transplants, cancer patients and those with chronic diseases, and then the rest of the groups on priority bases. However, at the moment the third dose is optional, Al Qabas reported.
The Ministry of Health will soon start sending messages to what is called the ‘eligible group’ who deserve to be vaccinated with the third ‘stimulant’ dose.
On the vaccination for children between 12 and 15 years, the same sources said about 300,000 schoolchildren will have been vaccinated before the start of the school year next October, more than two-thirds of the number of this target group.
