The global coronavirus cases surpassed 11 million late Friday, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The tally showed that the coronavirus cases worldwide reached 11,031,905 whereas the recorded deaths reached 523,777.
The US and Brazil rank first and second globally in the number of coronavirus cases and deaths. Meanwhile, Brazil’s coronavirus cases topped 1.5 million Friday after recording 42,223 new cases, bringing the total cases in the country to 1,539,081.
Brazil’s health ministry also reported 1,290 coronavirus deaths as the reported deaths reached 63,174.
