GCC residents, citizens can travel to Qatar without Hayya card from today

Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has announced that citizens and residents of the Gulf will be allowed to enter the country without a Hayya card.

While regular entry procedures will resume for all those eligible from today, December 6.

Transportation by buses will be available to all travelers through the land port, as is the case under normal circumstances, and parking spaces will be allocated for visitors without fees.

Citizens and residents of GCC countries coming through land ports with their private vehicles, will be able to enter the country as of December 8, 2022. They must apply for a permit on the website of the Ministry of Interior at least 12 hours before the appointment. They will not be required to make payment for a vehicle entry permit fee.

The Ministry added that this step comes in the context of the state’s efforts to provide an opportunity for visitors, citizens and residents of the GCC countries, to enjoy the atmosphere accompanying the matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and its entertainment activities during the remainder of this tournament.
