Farwaniya lockdown expected to be lifted soon

During the extraordinary meeting, the Council of Ministers is mulling the possibility of lifting the total lockdown of Farwaniya which was imposed at the end of May, reports Al-Seyassah.

To end all curfews coinciding with the start of the third phase of the ‘five-stage’ plan, the Cabinet is expected to lift the lockdown as part of the restore life to normalcy plan on July 21. The Eid Al-Adha holidays are likely to occur without either a total and partial curfew.  The third stage of the plan, which will be initiated on July 21, includes resuming work in the government sector with 50 percent capacity of employees being present at work and allowing visits to coop societies and shopping centers without the need for prior appointments, and the barcode system.
