The Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources has warned farms which use what it called some type of wells in the agricultural Wafra area to cease violations to avoid legal measures against them.
Informed sources told Al-Rai that “the plant wealth sector in the authority issued warnings to farmers who deliberately draw water from such wells and divert more of that water outside the farms, which leads to the destruction of the infrastructure, in addition to causing damage to nearby productive farms.
The sources indicated some “complaints were received by the authority about water gathering on pathways of Al-Wafra farms due to such violations,” indicating that “in cooperation with the Ministry of Electricity and Water and the Ministry of Works, some farms have been identified and warned to stop such practices.
