The Director General of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources, Eng. Mishaal Al-Qarifa Al-Bushra, gave farmers the approval for subsidy support for the months of April, May and June from the 2022 budget for last year saying support the next three months, July, August and September, is imminent.
Al-Qarifa revealed that during the next two weeks, palm subsidies will be approved, stressing the authority’s keenness to achieve local sufficiency and encourage farmers to continue production and enhance food security and not to fall behind because of the large number of obligations and expenses, reports Al-Rai daily.
Al-Qarifa added that the authority’s future plans include increasing financial support for Kuwaiti farms and expanding the organization of festivals to market the local product in cooperative markets, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Community Development.
