The Environment Public Authority has referred 1,805 environmental violations to the Public Prosecution within 6 months from July to December 2022.
The statistics issued by the authority stated reconciliation has been reached concerning 594 violations after damage done to the environment has been compensated.
During the same period, the competent department issued 89 ‘to whom it may concern’ certificates.
