The Acting Director General of the Authority, Ms. Samira Al-Kandari, said following a letter she sent to the municipality to specify a site for waste collection in the Al-Wafra Agricultural farms area, the EPA specialists met with the municipality representatives to know the reasons for a site for waste collection.
The Al-Rai daily quoting sources said the one of the reasons was the difficulty in transporting the waste as a result of the distance between the farms area and the Mina Abdullah landfill, in addition to the hours allocated by the General Traffic Department.
