Egyptian doctor passes away from coronavirus

A doctor at the Amiri Hospital, Dr. A.A, an Egyptian national, passed away during his arrival at Mubarak Hospital, after suffering shortness of breath this morning.

The late doctor, who was about 50 years old, contracted the coronavirus in May and his health deteriorated forcing him to stay in intensive care at Jaber Hospital for a long period until his condition improved. He was discharged from intensive care and from the hospital.

Accordingly, and with the usual procedures in place, he will be swabbed to find out the extent of infection with the virus again. The forensic team will examine the body as he arrived at the hospital deceased in accordance with the procedures stipulated in dealing with such cases.

The sources indicated that the late doctor was one of the first doctors to volunteer to work at Jaber Hospital to combat the emerging coronavirus
